What is an AI email credit?
One credit = one AI-generated email reply. Each plan includes a fixed number of credits per month: 50 on Free, 500 on Starter, 5,000 on Pro, and up to 50,000 on Enterprise. Inbound email sync, Shopify order lookups, and Facebook / Instagram replies do not consume credits.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
AI email replies pause until your next billing cycle starts or you purchase add-on credits. Inbound email sync continues uninterrupted.
Do unused credits roll over?
No. Unused monthly credits do not roll over. Each new billing period starts with a fresh allotment. Add-on credit packs you purchase separately do not expire.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — Starter and Pro both include a 7-day free trial. Free has no trial because the plan is already free. Enterprise terms are negotiated directly with our sales team.
When am I charged?
Free plan: never. Starter and Pro: a payment method is collected at sign-up. You are not charged during the 7-day trial. Your first charge runs on day 8 unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Can I cancel during the trial?
Yes — cancel any time before the trial ends in Billing → Manage plan. No charges occur until day 8.
What do add-on email credits cost?
Starter add-on pack: $10 per 1,000. Pro add-on packs: $10 per 1,000 or $35 per 5,000. Add-on packs are one-time purchases and do not expire.
Who handles billing?
It depends on how you install Retenza. If you install from the Shopify App Store, you are billed through Shopify Billing and the charge appears on your Shopify invoice — no separate card is needed. If you sign up directly at tryretenza.com, billing is handled by Retenza via Stripe and charges appear on your card statement from Retenza. The billing method is chosen automatically by how you sign up; you never see both.
Are Shopify, Gmail, Facebook, and Instagram integrations included?
Yes. Connecting Shopify, Gmail, Facebook, and Instagram is included in every plan at no extra cost. Plan price covers the AI email replies; integrations themselves are free to use.
Pricing FAQ
Does the free trial require a credit card?
No. Your 7-day free trial starts immediately — no credit card needed. You'll only be asked for payment information when you choose to upgrade.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.
What counts as an AI reply?
Each time our AI generates a draft reply for an inbound customer email, that counts as one AI reply — regardless of whether your team approves it or edits it first.
What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?
We'll notify you when you reach 80% of your limit. Emails that exceed the limit will be queued for manual handling. You can upgrade at any time to avoid interruptions.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes — pay annually and get 2 months free (equivalent to a ~17% discount). Contact us or toggle to annual billing in your account settings.
